Barbells are found in nearly every training facility on the planet, but non-traditional objects are becoming more popular with the increasing acclaim for strongman and other unconventional sports.  This lecture will explore the utility, efficacy, and practice of non-traditional implements, and how to add them into your programming.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Understanding Pain Science (2:00-3:00 PM) by Dr. Eric Bloom, PT, DPT, OCS

What is your body really telling you and what can you do about it? Doctor of Physical Therapy Eric Bloom explains the physiology of how we perceive pain, and how certain lifestyle factors may influence the pain experience. At the conclusion of this talk you will have a better understanding of what to do when you or a client experiences pain in the gym and how to approach the healing process successfully.
