Event 1: Last Man Standing Axle C + P
Here’s a new one for you… last man standing, +1 rep per round! Athlete’s will be grouped by implement weight, with each athlete attempting a single rep. With each successful round completed, you stay in with one additional rep added in the next round. First round, one rep. Second round, 2 reps, then 3, then 4, and so on. Each round, one clean and press away. Reactive presses are allowed, but athlete’s MUST follow the judge’s “down” command. Reps may be reattempted, so long as the implement does not drop to the floor. Athletes must complete the round for additional points, meaning points will not be given for reps completed. Meaning the last man standing must complete the final round to receive winning points, or they must settle for tied points.
Last Man Standing wins!!
Event 2: Wagon Wheel Axle Deadlift AMRAP
This will be a standalone event. Athletes may complete this event at any point during the day, up until their weight class’s turn for Event #5. Athlete’s have 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible. No touch and go reps allowed, meaning athletes will receive an “up” and “down” command for each rep. Only reps following the judges commands will be counted towards the total.
Most reps wins!
Event 3: Dealer’s Choice Sandbag
Athlete’s will have 60 seconds to accumulate as many points as possible. Each attempt must receive a “down” command for each rep in order to contribute to their total points. The sandbag must return to the ground after each attempt. A successful “pick” will be given the down command when the athlete demonstrates full control of the bag in the standard front carry position. A successful “shoulder” will the given the down command when the athlete demonstrates full control of the bag with the sandbag fully resting on their shoulder without any additional support from the opposing hand. Stabilizing the bag with both hands will not be given the down command. A successful “press” will be given the down command when the athlete demonstrates full control of the bag fully locked out overhead, with both legs locked out and feet stable and in line.
Sandbag Pick: 1 point
Sandbag Shoulder: 2 points
Sandbag Overhead Press: 4 points
Most points wins!
Event 4: Bag Toss Over Bar
Athlete’s will have 60 seconds to throw 5 bags over a 12′ bar height for Women’s Divisions and a 15′ bar height for Men’s Divisions. Bags must be thrown in order of ascending weight. Athlete’s may not move on the the next bag until the previous bag has successfully been thrown over the bar. Time stops when the final bag hits the ground after a successful throw.
Fastest time wins!
Event 5: Four Implement Medley
Athlete’s will have 90 seconds to carry four implements a total of 60′ each. Each implement will be carried 30′ down and back. Athlete’s must carry the implements in the following order: Sandbag, then Farmer’s Handles, then Keg, then Zercher Yoke. Each implement must fully cross the line on both ends to move forward in the event. Time ends when the final implement fully crosses the finish line. If the athlete cannot complete the entire course within 90 seconds, distance will be measured.
Fastest time wins!
See you then!
