With experience coaching competitive powerlifters and competing himself, Michael focuses on the details that matter from bar path to bracing, meet rules to mindset. Over the course of this 3-hour hands-on seminar, you’ll walk away with the tools you need to lift with confidence,
efficiency, and power on meet day.

What You’ll Learn:
Each main lift (squat, bench, and deadlift) will include a short educational lecture followed by
detailed group coaching and live feedback.
Squat (1 Hour)
Lecture Topics (~15–20 min):
● Competition standards: depth, bar placement, commands
● Biomechanics: stance, bracing, descent/ascent mechanics
● How to avoid and fix common faults (e.g. lumbar overextension)
● Meet prep strategies: periodization, intensity, tapering
Live Coaching (~40 min):
● Group technique review—each attendee performs reps
● Real-time feedback and corrections from Coach Michael
● Peer learning encouraged through group discussion
Bench Press (1 Hour)
Lecture Topics (~15–20 min):
● Setup and rules: foot position, head/butt/shoulder contact, commands
Mechanics: grip width, J-curve bar path, leg drive execution
● How to cue common errors and improve pressing efficiency
● Peaking for bench in a meet prep cycle
Live Coaching (~40 min):
● Each participant gets coached through a few reps
● Group observes, asks questions, and learns from real-time feedback
Deadlift (1 Hour)
Lecture Topics (~15–20 min):
● Choosing your style: conventional vs. sumo
● Meet rules: lockout, grip issues, no hitching
● Key technical points: bar path, hip timing, lockout sequencing
● Programming and meet-day strategy: opener selection, grip fatigue, hook grip tips
Live Coaching (~40 min):
● Every lifter deadlifts under coach supervision
● Group discussions promote learning through observation
● Personalized technique tweaks for each lifter
